Meet Our Coach
Irina
Irina started playing tennis at age 7, and by age 16 represented Uzbekistan in the National Fed Cup Team. Her career has taken her across the world — from competing and coaching in New Zealand, to earning a full scholarship in the USA, where Irina won an NAIA National Title with Brenau University, was ranked #2 in Junior College Division I, and received All-American Honors. Whilst in the U.S., Irina also coached in New York City, Texas, and Georgia.
Later Irina played in competitions across Europe while based in Germany and competing for German clubs.
Now in Sydney, Irina coaches at Sydney Boys High School across different age groups, serving as head coach of the 2nds GPS team. She also works with kids and adults in private and group lessons, including players with disabilities (NDIS)
"After time away in office roles, I’ve spent the past five years coaching tennis, bringing my passion for the game to every session. I love working with people of all ages, creating a positive &respectful environment, where players can learn, improve and enjoy tennis"
